This morning, as Liam and I were about to leave the house for our days at work/school, Liam decided to "ride" on Bella. He slumped over her back, legs dangling from one side, arms and head on the other. I told him to get down, that was not nice, Bella didn't like that, etc. But just as I was about to pull him off of her, she started walking, dragging him along, and Liam started laughing. I stifled my own laughter, repeated my warnings, and watched helplessly as Liam fell right into the corner of a wall. Ice, TLC, and 10 minutes later, we made it out the door.
This accident, which is similar to so many others in the past, got me thinking...I wonder just how many trips to the ER I will be making in my lifetime due to his adventurous spirit.

Lately, Geoff and I have been experimenting with letting Liam do more walking when we would normally use a stroller or shopping cart. Today, we let Liam loose at Trader Joe's! It worked out well, because one, there were few shoppers (and most were parents with kids) and two, TJ's has kid-sized carts. Liam LOVED pushing his very own cart, and even put a few things in the cart himself--some cheese, some bread, and some bananas! He knew exactly what to do; he pushed his cart right to what he wanted, "parked" it, grabbed an item, put it in his cart, and continued on his way! It always amazes me what he learns just by watching us!
