Kindergarten Thanksgiving Show
Liam got to participate in the Kindergarten's Thanksgiving show. It was a precious combination of songs and mini-plays about Thanksgiving, and they all wore shirts they made in class (from homemade, natural dye they made from onions, strawberries, and blueberries). Beforehand, Liam had been singing all the songs every chance he got, even trying to teach me some of them. And we practiced his lines, a tiny comedy sketch, every night. He was so excited!
Once he began the production, he got a bit shy, grinning embarrassingly and trying to sing without moving his lips too much. (It seems he did not inherit my love of the stage.) They had practiced in front of the preschool, but this time the rest of the elementary school was there along with all the parents! But he gradually got over the butterflies and seemed more at ease once the show got underway.
Geoff and I thoroughly enjoyed it and are so proud of our guy! Below are videos and pictures. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Here is the Intro:
Here are a few more songs. Forgive the darkness in the 2nd half. Geoff forgot he was recording!
And here is Liam's bit:
If you look closely at the end, he mouths, "Thanks, Mom." I had mouthed, "Great Job!" and flashed him a thumbs up just before that. Be still my heart!!!
