A normal day

After two straight days of unpacking and organizing, we decided to head back to the zoo.  We did not get to explore everything about the zoo our first visit, so we were eager to see what else we could discover.

We found the penguins,

and got up close and personal with the lemurs.

Liam climbed the critters in the sculpture garden,

and our last stop of the day was the petting zoo.

It was nice to feel normal again.  We have not had to use our safe room in over a week, and despite the intensity of the violence just an hour away, Jerusalem is very normal.  People are out and about, visiting the zoo, eating in restaurants, going about life as usual.  We are grateful for the normalcy.
