Liam is growing too.

When I was writing Sam's post yesterday, it occurred to me that an update on Liam would be worthwhile.  After all, he is growing just as quickly!

He loves school.  And I mean LOVES it.  His amazing teacher has a lot to do with that.  Ms. Jodi is the Kindergarten teacher of my dreams...passionate, skilled, empathetic, experienced, creative, flexible.  She is just about perfect, and I think she might be worth all the craziness we have experienced here.

Liam is doing well in school.  He is reading extremely well and is in the highest level reading group in his class (all by himself for now). He LOVES library day and is always bursting with happiness to show me what he has picked out.  Here is a recent "gem", copyright 1975.

The "terrible thing" you ask?  Mom had to go back to work.

Just look at that family!  HA!

Liam is also doing well in math and music, and has taken to writing EVERYTHING.  See recent examples.

Liam assigned us roles like the students get in class.
Liam is the meteorologist, Geoff is the line leader,
I am the clean up crew, and Sam is the caboose.
I can only hope the jobs rotate like in Kindergarten!

This is a recent addition to his bedroom door.  It reads:
"Nobody is allowed to come in my room."

He is also making lots of new friends and playing with them without me around.
Here he is heading to his first birthday party without his parents attending too.

And here he is playing with some friends from school.
This group is a mix of kids from the U.K., Germany, Japan, and the U.S., of course.

Here he is with Addi, our neighbor and friend., who is also in Ms. Jodi's class.
They had just finished decorating my door for Halloween.

He is still as kind and loving as ever, and he still loves to talk.  A lot.  About anything.  He is a sweet big brother to Sam, loves most kinds of music, still hates cheese and saucy foods, and is so imaginative.  He is a good kid, and we are so grateful he is ours.  We love our buddy!

We made a Halloween wreath during one of Sam's weekend naps.
He is showing off his "spider smile."
