Marine Corps Ball

Geoff and I attended our 2nd Marine Corps Ball together on Saturday, Nov. 22nd.  (Geoff went last year in Sarajevo, but I was already back in Alabama awaiting Sammy's arrival.)  The Marine Corps Ball celebrates the birthday of the Marine Corps, "born" November 10, 1775 in a bar in Philly.  To honor this special occasion, there are speeches as well as dinner, cake, and dancing.  We enjoyed ourselves immensely!

These are the folks in Geoff's office.

Here we are with the Marines, the youngest of whom was born in 1992.
(I know that because the youngest Marine gets a special role in the cake cutting.)

 Geoff's officemates and their spouses

It's not only Americans that get to attend.  Folks from all over the world
(who are expats in Jerusalem like us) get invited, including REDCOATS!!!!!
We also saw Mounties and dudes in Scottish kilts!

Having fun on the dance floor
