Galilee, part 4, Capernaum

After the Church of the Beatitudes and a bit of lunch, we headed to Capernaum, the "town of Jesus."  Jesus relocated here from Nazareth to teach and preach, performed several miracles, and chose many of his "fishers of men."  Peter, James, Andrew, John, and Matthew all came from Capernaum.

The ruins are in great shape (in fact they were not discovered until the 1800's), and it really was quite a treat to walk in Jesus's footsteps.
