Safari Park

Sometimes, we just have to get out of town.  Jerusalem can be a very "heavy" place to live, so we escape on nice weekends to find some green or smell the sea air.  This day, we decided to visit Tel Aviv's Safari Park and then picnic in a park by the beach.

We drove our own car through the park, stopping to look at various animals.

There was an ostrich stopping traffic.

And Sam couldn't see very well as all the animals were on Liam's side of the car,
so he rode with me. Don't worry, we went slowly...barely moving in fact.

Liam had the map to tell us where the animals were.

 Saw some hippos getting fed

 Rhinos just roamed around.

And zebras came right up to the car!

These handsome guys weren't shy either.

There were a couple of giraffes,
and then we entered a Jurassic Park looking gate to see lions.
We saw them lying down in a tree's shade,
but they were too far away to photograph.
It was a fun morning!
