Prague, part 2

After our leisurely morning, we went back to the apartment to rest. After a bit of a nap for Sam, we headed to the subway to make our way to Old Town Square, or Staromêstské námêstí in Czech.  First let me say a word about the incredibly clean, efficient, and affordable public transportation in Prague.  Liam was free, being a child 6 and under, Sam was free for the same reason, but I WAS ALSO FREE as the lap a young child would be sitting on.  Just lovely.

A few stops later, we arrived and walked toward the square.  Our first thought was lunch, which was a super easy decision.  There were these little wooden cabins with all kinds of goodies.  Our noses lead us to the one grilling sausages and roasting ham over wooden coals.  We bought a sampling of every pork product they offered, some beer, and some water, and then sat on a bench and ate and drank.  It was just delicious.  Once the boys finished, they chased pigeons while we gobbled up the rest.

After lunch, we explored the square, which had a lot to see, including several churches, the Old Town Hall with its astronomical clock, and statues and cobblestones.
