Because our flights were SUPER early the next morning, we opted to stay at the airport hotel our last night. So we headed there to check-in and drop our things off, only to discover IT WAS SNOWING!!!
Okay, so it was too warm to stick, but STILL! Snow!!! Crazy. After the airport, we headed back into town, toward the castle/cathedral area for lunch. Our walk in the flurries was pretty cool, even if I hate being cold.
(Snow is what it making the church look a little fuzzy in the background.)
Our lunch spot!
Liam's drinking apple juice--do not worry.
Geoff and I shared the pork knuckle. That may sound gross to you, and honestly, they probably could have chosen a better term for it (but is our version "ham hock" any better?). Don't let the name fool you--slow roasted pork of any kind is DIVINE!!! We devoured it.
The restaurant itself is in an old building that dates back centuries.
They even had a little window in the floor so you could see the original tilework from long ago.
