The last of Thanksgiving in Zagreb

On Saturday night, the Saxtons' nanny came back to watch the kids so the adults could enjoy one last time together.  We had dinner at Agava Bistro, a lovely restaurant with a great view of the pedestrian street below.  But before and after dinner were actually my favorite parts, because we got to visit the opening of Zagreb's Advent markets!  If you recall, that was one of the highlights of our Vienna trip last December, so it was a pleasant surprise to discover Zagreb had its own version!  We enjoyed our mulled wine (gluwein--give that w a German v sound!), some lovely cured pork, and the sights and sounds of Christmas with our friends.

This is a meter of rakija and wine liqueur.
The booth vendor recognized Josh from a previous event and gave us this for free!

 Ahhhh, gluwein!
