Sam is 1!

I know, I know.  This post is a month late.  But with the holidays and then the weather, we were not able to get to the doc for his check-up until this week, and I always like to post stats with these growing baby updates, so here we go.

Sam weighs 19 pounds (5%) and is a little over 29.5 inches long (25%).  He is a wee thing, but so full of energy and personality.  He says three words...Dada, Uh-oh, and Wow.  He cruises along furniture and transitions from couch to table to whomever is nearby without falling (most of the time).  He wags his finger "no-no", blows on his hot food over and over, and will bring me a book and crawl in my lap, demanding to be read to.  His favorite is Five Silly Monkeys, and every time we get to "no more monkeys jumping on the bed," out comes the finger wag for "no-no."  

He can make the sounds of a cat, dog, sheep, snake, and monkey.  He knows he is funny and will do silly things and make silly sounds in order to get a laugh.  He eats lots of things, but is not a huge fan of meat.  He can feed himself very well and drinks from his own sippy cup like a pro.  He charms perfect strangers with his 6-toothed grin (4 top, 2 bottom), and he is a CLIMBER.  We've caught him in Papa's old rocking chair too many times to count, and once on top of the coffee table.  So while he keeps us on our toes, we adore him.  Love you, Sammy boy!
